The position
As Director, Real World Evidence at Novo Nordisk, you'll lead the RWE area in Region Europe and Canada and being responsible of the development, execution and dissemination of evidence generation. From shaping mid-term ambitions to driving innovation, optimizing processes, and enabling strong collaboration across functions, your role will be central to transforming data into impactful healthcare decisions.
The role will require up to 20% travel across the region.
Your main responsibilities will be to:
- Define and lead the Region Europe and Canada RWE strategy, ensuring alignment with local and global needs and goals across the portfolio.
- Guide the affiliates in Europe and Canada in identifying local evidence needs and oversee the execution of RWE initiatives and lead dissemination of evidence .
- Drive innovation in analytics, platforms, and data visualization.
- Optimize evidence generation processes, timelines, and budget.
- Represent Region Europe and Canada across internal and external stakeholders, and lead cross-functional forums.
Qualifications
To be successful in this position you bring:
- Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g. MD, epidemiology, health economics, biostatistics, data science, or predictive analytics).
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry within RWE, data science, or related functions.
- Proven track record of translating business needs into impactful observational studies and communicating results effectively.
- Strong expertise in epidemiology, RWE methodologies, and data science.
- Strategic thinking, solid business acumen, and experience in pharmaceutical planning and regulatory strategy.
- Excellent stakeholder management, interpersonal, and communication skills in English.
- Familiarity with external data sources and collaboration with external data providers.
- Experience in diabetes, cardiovascular disease, or obesity is a strong advantage.
